Dear UAW Region 1 Brothers and Sisters,
I am deeply honored to have been re-elected to serve a second term as your UAW Region 1 Director. I sincerely thank our membership for the trust and confidence you have placed in my leadership. It is a privilege to continue serving this great region, and I do not take that responsibility lightly.
To everyone who supported me throughout this election, thank you for your encouragement, dedication, and unwavering support. To those who may have supported another candidate, I respect your choice and remain equally committed to representing you. Regardless of how we voted, we are one union, and every member deserves strong, fair, and dedicated representation.
I also want to express my sincere appreciation to our Local Union Presidents, Chairpersons, Executive Boards, Stewards, Retirees, and everyone who works tirelessly on behalf of our membership. Your commitment, dedication, and hard work are what make Region 1 strong.
As I begin my second term, I do so with renewed energy, determination, and an unwavering commitment to putting our membership first. Being entrusted with another four years is not simply an honor; it is a responsibility to continue earning your trust through hard work, accessibility, accountability, and results.
The election is behind us, and now it is time to get back to work. We have accomplished much together, but there is still more to do. Our strength has always been rooted in our solidarity, and by standing together, we will continue building a stronger future for Region 1 and all the members we proudly represent.
Thank you once again for your trust, your support, and the privilege of serving as your Director. I am proud to represent this great region and look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
In Solidarity,
LaShawn English
UAW Region 1 Director
