Stay Engaged with UAW Region 1 Meetings & Events

As we move into April, UAW Region 1 is proud to share a full schedule of meetings, trainings, and opportunities for member engagement. We encourage all members to stay informed, get involved, and participate in the important work happening across our region.
Throughout the month, Region 1 will host a variety of council meetings, including the Community Service Council, Solidarity Riders, Choir Committee, Veterans Council, Education Council, and Women’s and Men’s Councils. These meetings provide valuable opportunities for members to connect, collaborate, and strengthen solidarity across our union.
In addition, key committee meetings such as the Retired Workers Executive Board and Legislative Committee will take place, ensuring that the voices and concerns of our retired members continue to be heard and represented.
Members interested in leadership and democratic participation are encouraged to attend the Education Council Nominations and Elections meeting later in the month. This is a great opportunity to take an active role in shaping the future of our union.
We are also offering hands-on learning opportunities through our Step-Up Workshops, including sessions focused on Earth Day and Artificial Intelligence (AI). These workshops are designed to empower members with knowledge and tools relevant to today’s workforce and community efforts.
Important Reminder:
The deadline for the Region 1 Director’s Scholarship applications is April 16th. Members are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline to take advantage of this valuable opportunity.
All meetings and events will be held in Warren, MI, unless otherwise noted. For additional details or questions, please reach out to the listed contacts for each event.
Let’s continue to show up, stay engaged, and stand strong in solidarity. Your participation makes a difference.
In Solidarity,
UAW Region 1
