Conference Description

The UAW Region 1 Women’s Conference UNBREAKABLE is designed to foster connection, education, and empowerment among UAW women. This two-day conference provides an opportunity to build and strengthen women’s committees while networking across Region 1 and multiple sectors. The program focuses on developing, retaining, and upskilling women in the workplace and advancing women’s leadership throughout the labor movement.

The conference is open to all UAW Region 1 members, both active and retired, who are committed to supporting the growth and advancement of women within the Union.

Special Highlights

• Michigan Rosie the Riveter Day Excursion
  On Friday afternoon, delegates will honor the legacy of women who built the Arsenal of Democracy by attending Michigan Rosie the Riveter Day.
  • Shuttle transportation provided
  • Bus departs UAW Region 1 at 2:00 PM
  • Returns by 6:00 PM
• Required Educational Workshops
  • Mean Girls – Overcoming workplace dynamics and building sisterhood
  • Effective Bargaining – Organizing and implementing working-family issues at the bargaining table
