Michigan Primary GOTV Efforts

While it is the duty and obligation of all elected leadership to support and advance the International Union’s programs, please be advised that participation in labor walks for internationally-appointed representatives is mandatory. The Michigan Primary is less than one month away. We have proudly endorsed several candidates who will fight for working people. Importantly, there is a hotly contested US Senate race, where we have endorsed Abdul El-Sayed. Abdul wants to ban stock buybacks, he rejects corporate PAC money, and most importantly, he’s a fighter. That's why our union voted to endorse him. UAW walks will be occurring from UAW Region 1 located at 27800 George Merrelli Drive in Warren, MI 48092 on the following Saturdays: July 25th and August 1st from 9 am – 1 pm. If you cannot make it on those dates, please reach out to Ashley Lewis for Region 1 alewis@uaw.net to schedule your shifts. If you cannot physically walk Region 1 will have phone banking shifts available. To fulfill your constitutional duty please sign up for at least two GOTV shifts.
