2026 Metro-Detroit AFL-CIO Labor Day March
Time: 8:00 a.m. – Parade staging begins
Solidarity Riders: 7:00 a.m. departure from UAW Region 1
Shuttle Buses: 7:30–8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Join the UAW and more than 40,000 union members and their families for the 2026 Metro-Detroit AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade.
Region 1 staging begins at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive on time and line up in local union numerical order, from lowest to highest. The parade will conclude with a program at Roosevelt Park.
2026 Theme:
“Michigan Labor: Valiant Champions For Voting Rights – Vigilant Defenders of Democracy – The Voice For All Working People.”
Solidarity Riders: Motorcyclists are welcome to participate and will depart from UAW Region 1 at 7:00 a.m.
Shuttle Buses: Park-and-ride shuttles will run from Solidarity House from 7:30–8:30 a.m. Return shuttles will operate from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
