Events

During the month of August 2026, UAW Region 1 will host a full schedule of meetings, training programs, and member engagement events. Activities begin with Michigan Primary Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts on August 1, followed by Retired Workers Executive Board and Legislative Committee meetings on August 3. The Region 1 Community Service Council will meet on August 6, and Health & Safety Training will take place August 11–13. The Retired Workers Council Meeting is scheduled for August 17. On August 19, members will have the opportunity to attend both the Michigan Labor History Society Labor Day Mobilization Luncheon in Taylor and the Region 1 Women's Council Meeting in Warren. The month continues with the Chaplaincy Committee Prayer Breakfast on August 22 and concludes with the Region 1 Invitational Kickball Tournament on August 29. These events reflect Region 1's ongoing commitment to political action, member education, leadership development, community involvement, and fellowship throughout the month.
