Step-Up for Earth Day: Join UAW Region 1 for an Engaging Workshop
Join UAW Region 1 members on April 22, 2026, in Warren, Michigan, for an interactive Earth Day Workshop exploring the connection between our environment, health, and communities.
Two sessions are available:
- Session 1: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Session 2: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Learn how environmental issues impact workplaces and communities, and take action toward a healthier, more sustainable future.

UAW Local 653 was chartered in 1937 and has a rich history, rooted in the formation of the UAW, originally representing hourly workers at GM Pontiac Motor Division. Today, the local proudly represents over 1,200 members at GM Milford Proving Grounds and Challenge Manufacturing.
