Lake Orion, MI - UAW Local 5960 members Logan Smith and Michael McCready were among the first group of UAW/GM candidates to complete the Skilled Trades Readiness Certificate Program (STARC) and receive apprenticeship job offers.

Logan Smith graduated from the STARC Program on August 9, 2021. He has accepted a Die Makers Apprenticeship at Pontiac Stamping. His reporting date is June 6, 2022.

Lake Orion, MI - Lake Orion Township Supervisor, Chris Barnette and township staff held Orion Township’s State of the Township address at Woodside Church in Orion yesterday.  Community residents, elected and appointed state and county officials, along with members of the Orion Assembly plant staff and UAW Local 5960 attended the Star Wars themed event as yesterday, May 4th was International Stars Wars Day!
