UAW Michigan New Member Conference - 4/23 - 4/26/2019

Michigan Regional Directors are collaborating on a joint New Member Conference at Black Lake.

The focus of this conference will be to inform our newly hired members on various aspects of the UAW. Class sessions will include UAW 101 - Understanding the structure and purpose of the UAW, standing committee training and understanding how union meetings operate.

To qualify, members must be in good standing and have at least one (1) year of service, but not more than four (4) years of service and have not yet attended a conference at Black Lake.  Space is limited, as each region has a designated number of members.  Please submit the names of three members who you want to attend this conference.  Each local will be guaranteed at least one spot, with two alternate selections, if space is available.

A registration form link is here. Please provide all requested information.

The registration fee for each member is $450.  Checks should be made payable to International Union, UAW.”  They must accompany the registration form and be mailed to  UAW   Region  1.  It is imperative that registration forms are received no later than March 1, 2019.

The fee is the responsibility of the local union, as is the cost of travel and lost time.
